BLUE
PRODUCER/EDITOR - Candice Odgers, S.A.G.E.
Inspiration lands at the most curious of times. While logging footage for an unrelated project with The Bigger Picture films (footage shot by Grant Brokensha), Producer Editor Candice Odgers had a little four year old running around. One Sunday, Scarlett crept into the cutting room and peaked over her mom's shoulder and suddenly piped up, "oh Mamma are you working on a movie with Blue"? You see, little Scarlett would sometimes refer to the ocean as "Blue" and would talk to it when on family vacations. This sparked an idea and Scarlett and Candice set off on an adventure of their own.
A friend and brilliant composer Benjamin Willem immediately jumped on board to compose this incredible track. "Blue" is a fun little project with a message that continues to resonates with the now eight year old, still living for everything Blue.
GAINING GROUND FOR PRAIRIE WILDLIFE
DP/EDITOR - Julie Rooney
Here’s our solution: Buy the Land. The Southern Plains Land Trust purchases land for prairie wildlife. It’s that simple. So far, we’ve protected over 32,000 acres in our preserve network, providing urgently needed refuge to a wide variety of native grassland animals and plants. Piece by piece, we are restoring the American Serengeti.
